NARANPUR-PANDAPARA-HARICHANDANPUR-BRAMHANIPAL-DUBURI ROAD BRIEF AT A GLANCE
The 89.698 Km long Naranpur-Pandapara -Harichandanpur- Brahmanipal-Duburi road passes through Keonjhar and Jajpur districts of Odisha.This road mainly passes through reserve forest of Barabanka, Artei& Revana and tribal & undeveloped areas of Keojhar District. The road portion from Naranpur to Brahmanipal is a State road with a length of 62.269Km& the potion from Bramhanipal to Duburi is a part of Express Way-I with a length of 20.429Km.
Objective :
This road will connect mining area of Joda, Barbil & Keonjhar with upcoming POSCO Steel Plant at Paradeep & Major port at Paradeep via Express Way-I, NH-53 & NH-5A. This will also carry major chunk of Chandikhol bound traffic of NH-20 & NH-120 from Keonjhar. Traffic on this road has increased leaps & bound because of increase of export of iron Ore to China and Japan, setting up of more & more steel industries at Duburi-Kalinga Nagar area located at junction of this road with NH-53. This road will also form a part of the straight road from Keonjhar to Paradeep. Apart from this, the road will be an alternate route to famous Maa Tarini temple at Ghatagaon. This route will be shortest from Keojhar to State Capital & Paradeep Port & will play a vital role in communication & transportation. This road, which is passing through the most important mining & industrial area of Odisha, will act as the fortune-line for the State for industrial & hence economic growth.

Technical Specification :
(1) From Naranpur to  Brahmanipal – >
a)         Widening of Carriageway to 2-Lane standard
b)         Widening of Formation width to 12.00Mtr.
c)         Broad Provisions:-Earth Work in embankment, Granular Sub     base(GSB)-250mm, Base Course-WMM -250mm, Bituminous Course-DBM-110mm,BC-50mm,Minor & Major Bridges,Cross Drainage works,Road side Drain& Retaining Wall etc.
(2) From Brahmanipal to Duburi –
a)         Widening of Carriageway to 4-Lane standard with median of 1.50Mtr.
b)         Widening of Formation width to 19.50Mtr.
c)         Broad Provisions:- Earth Work in embankment, Granular Sub     base(GSB)-250mm, Base Course-WMM -250mm, Bituminous Course-DBM-110mm,BC-50mm,Minor & Major Bridges,Cross Drainage works,Road side Drain& Retaining Wall etc.
(ii)     3-Lane service roads on both side of Kalpana Square leg & 4-Lane service roads on both side of AG Square leg
(iii)     Central 40.00Mtr. dia. Rotary at the Junction
